Nomads of Time: DuBois et fils Attracts Almost 300 Watch Fans for the World Premiere in Le Locle First public presentation of the new watch model – on sale now Le Locle, July 4, 2013 – Watch friends from all over the world came to Le Locle to witness the oldest revived Swiss watch factory opening a new chapter of its unique history. Nearly 200 shareholders as well as 100 other guests celebrated the successful completion of the crowdfunding campaign and enjoyed the live presentation of the new watch collection. 600 investors who had purchased the shares during the crowd funding campaign made the relaunch possible. The renovated Musée des Beaux-Arts in Le Locle offered a perfect backdrop for the event: “A construction site symbolizes optimism. Against this background we have presented our new model to the public for the first time”, says Thomas Steinemann, the owner of DuBois et fils. A short journey through the more than a 200-year history of DuBois et fils was followed by a retrospective of the recent events. The highlight around the relaunch of the brand and the innovation of the watch is the development of the brand ambassador: Nomads of Time. “Ultimately, we all are nomads of time, we are always en route; the world is getting more globalized and therefore more open than ever before. A watch is a companion reminiscent of many hours, places and events. That is why each of our shareholders, our watch wearers, is an example of this nomadic life”, describes Thomas Steinemann. All the team members of DuBois et fils were within arm’s reach; the guests were feverishly waiting for the world premiere: the first live-presentation of the new models DBF001 and DBF002, that were available for a very close look. Immediately – with the launch of the new webpage – the shareholders can place the first orders for the new watches. The online shop will open its doors to the general public in August. A strenuous program for the eyes and tactile sense was followed by a sumptuous buffet with local specialties. A relaxed atmosphere favored the conversations between people who have provided DuBois et fils with the ticket to the future. “We have made an immense step forward with our crowdfunding campaign. We have started a family – around the oldest watch factory of Switzerland“, notices the owner of DuBois Steinemann. Orders for the models will be accepted – in the beginning the shareholders were given the exclusive right to purchase, further models will be publicly presented in a few weeks. “There is still a lot to come – those who would like to own a DuBois et fils in the future will receive one“, smiles Thomas Steinemann.
