The Bodo Möller Chemie Group celebrates a 20-year global partnership with DuPont

Over two decades of trusting cooperation in the service of specialty chemicals

Offenbach am Main/Germany, September 21, 2022 – A twenty-year success story began in 2002 between present-day DuPont and the distributor focused on specialty chemicals, the Offenbach-based Bodo Möller Chemie Group. “For leading manufacturers of the chemical sector, we are an active link in the chain that leads to the customer and combine high consulting expertise with the suitable delivery program and our own logistics. The anniversary with DuPont – then Gurit Essex, later Dow Automotive and today DuPont – marks a trusting collaboration, and we look forward to the next 20 years,” says Frank Haug, Chairman of the Board of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.

Innovative products from DuPont  
By now, the cooperation encompasses almost all important international markets and focuses on products from the area of workpiece cleaning and preprocessing of bondings as well as special, one- and two-component adhesives and polyurethane-, epoxy resin- and polymer-based sealants from the BETAMATE™, BETASEAL™, BETAFORCE™, BETALINK™ and BETATECH™ product families. In all applications, these products are among the leading innovative products.

Growing importance of adhesive solutions  
Many years ago, the slogan “gluing instead of welding” was heard in various technical sectors. Today, many leading technology sectors work with DuPont’s specialized adhesive solutions, above all in the mobility sector. In addition to passenger cars and commercial vehicles, this also applies to rail vehicles and the still growing area of e-mobility. 

Collaboration of equals  
The first cooperation agreement was signed in 2002 and continues to be strong today. „This long-standing relationship is the result of our team’s commitment to working closely with the Bodo Möller Chemie team,” says Thorsten Schmidt, Commercial Director at DuPont. „We focus on continuous innovation while providing our customers with technical and commercial excellence.”
